Features :
Ball valve used in sprinkler hose irrigation system is installed between main water pipe and sprinkler hose to control the water flow, whether to be in open or shut down condition.
There are three main components of plastic ball valve: 1.plastic body shell. 2. Ball inside the body. 3. Handle outside to turn the ball.
The plastic body shell can be made from PVCor ABS. 2. Ball inside the body can be made from PVC, ABS or stainless steel. 3. Handle can be made from PVC, ABS or stainless steel.
The size of ball valve is according to the inside diameter on both end.
Basically the sizes we have are 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, 1 1/4”, 1 1/2”, 2”, 2 1/2”, 3”, 3 1/2”, 4” from low to high.
Due to the different ball surface treatment and handle material, there are 3 grades of plastic ball valve:
1. All plastic valve
This grade of valve is all made from PVC or ABS plastic. It is the cheapest and popular grade. But the handle sometimes may
crack for long time use in sunlight, say one or two years.
2. Stainless steel handle with plating plastic ball
This grade of valve with a handle made of stainless steel and a smooth plating plastic ball inside. The price is higher but
the handle wont be damaged by sunlight.
3. Stainless steel handle with stainless steel ball
This grade of valve has a stainless steel handle and a stainless steel ball inside with the longest service life. The
appearance is the same looking as plating grade. But the price is the highest and with the smoothest feeling when use,
also the ball inside will never deform in hot season.
In general the shell of plastic ball valve is made from PVC resin but instead we can make the shell made from ABS resin. The shell made from ABS resin is more durable than that made from PVC resin.
